Woolfest 2009

Finally, as promised, here are the Woolfest 2009 photos.

As usual, there were loads of sheep and alpacas and the “sheep” for the auction were absolutely gorgeous and some went for mega money.

I had an absolutely wonderful day at Woolfest and bought some gorgeous “silk bricks” to spin and some silk/bamboo roving also to spin.

There was such an array of roving it was difficult to choose which to buy and bring home with me.

I used the “Ashford Spinning Chair” (which hubby bought me as part of my Birthday present) today and am really happy with it. Having a back on it really helps as having something to support my back whilst spinning takes the strain off of my back and I also found I spun a bit more evenly.

Over the next week I will post pictures of Windermere, Keswick and Whitehaven and also some pics of my latest skeins of handspun/hand-dyed fleece.
